In 1998 Murray Chevrolet Oldsmobile opened on the corner of Waverley St. and Bishop Grandin Blvd. in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is part of the Murray Automotive Group.[1] In 2000 an addition was added to the building increasing the size of the service, parts, and PDI departments.[2] When GM discontinued the Oldsmobile line in April 2004 Murray's dropped the Oldsmobile line and would later take up the Hummer brand and be Murray Chevrolet Hummer, until it was discontinued in 2010. Along with a sales department the dealership offers; a Service department, an ICAR Gold Class, and Manitoba Public Insurance accredited body shop [3], and Winnipeg's largest parts department [4].

Created in 2005 to replace the CADA Dealer of Excellence Award, the CADA's National Laureate Award which is exclusively sponsored by Industrial Alliance Pacific Insurance and Financial Services Inc. acknowledges the different ways in which dealers contribute to the industry and their communities.[5]
Dan Murray (Murray Chevrolet) was awarded the National Laureate Award in 2009.[6][7]
The Jack Smith Award is given to the top 10 dealerships in Canada. Murray Chev Olds Hummer was presented with its third Jack Smith award in Vegas 2005.[8]
GM's Triple Crown is awarded yearly to the top 10% of General Motors dealers in Canada based on exceeding the customer’s expectation in Sales, Service, Parts and Accessories.[9]
Dan Murray (Murray Chevrolet) in 2008 was awarded the Triple Crown award for the 12th consecutive year; and the 15th time in the awards 19 year history.[10]
